Here's what's coming your way this Saturday:

Pikes “Hills & Valleys” Riesling $13.49
Named after the scenic local landscape, this is an easy drinking, expressive white that is a perfect introduction to the style: medium bodied and fruity with mouthwatering acidity and a long, clean finish.

Elizabeth Spencer Rose of Grenache Mendocino $19.99
This wine leaps from the glass with a bountiful nose of crushed raspberry and ripened strawberry, with candied and jammy notes, guava, sweet tarts, blood orange zest, lilacs, and grape blossoms. The palate is likewise generous and fruity, redolent with cherry, guava, strawberry, and Honey crisp apple. The fruity palate is well-supported with a bright and zesty acidity that lingers long into the bold, well-structured finish.

Pike & Joyce Rapide Pinot Noir $15.99
Although typically elegant, the palate has nice concentration of bright strawberry / cherry fruit displaying a sappy freshness, fine tannins and subtle oak that makes it very appealing.

Tenuta Sant’Antonio Valpolicella Ripasso $24.99
Corvina and Corvinone 70% - Rondinella 20% - Croatina and Oseleta 10%. The color is a beautiful ruby red. The aroma consists of red fruit and cherry. The flavor is sweetish, soft yet powerful, fresh, full-flavored with a trace of tannin and a spicy aftertaste.

Here's what is in store for today's Old World tasting:

Heinz Eifel Riesling Gewürztraminer
Gewürztraminer is an aromatic wine grape variety that thrives in cooler climates like Germany. Heinz Eifel Shine Gewürztraminer is produced in an off-dry style with exotic aromas and flavors of lychee rose petal, passion fruit and ginger.

Bieler Pere et Fils Rose
The Bieler Pere et Fils Rose displays a light, bright cranberry color in the glass. In addition to the usual raspberry, cherry, and wild strawberry red fruit aromas, there's a citrusy (grapefruit) and slightly floral note with the important underlying savory structure of lavender, grass and herbs de Provence. It is a blend of 55% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Grenache, 3% Cinsault, and 2% Rolle

Il Pumo Primitivo Salento
This Primitivo is deep ruby red in color with violet reflections; intense aroma, with notes of plum and cherry, spicy, with rosemary and vanilla scents. A full-bodied wine, soft and balanced, easy to drink.

Tre Picos Garnacha
Red fruit intensity is apparent throughout the aromas and flavors of this wine; sawdust and toast reflect its barrel character, at least some of which derives from American oak. The exuberant fruit is more than matched by the spicy barrel notes with long vanilla, black raspberries, and plums to the finish. A bit of raisin also suggests some slight over ripeness, but nothing is out of balance.

Cono Sur Riesling $12.99
An intensely aromatic wine with citrus fruit and soft white flower aromas together with a palate of grapefruit and mineral flavors. This is the perfect wine to serve with seafood and white meat dishes, particularly with Thai-influences.

Cono Sur Viognier $12.49
A bright Viognier with apricot, peach and orange aromas together with a fresh stone fruit palate. This is the perfect wine to serve with many Chinese dishes, particularly sweet and sour chicken or prawns.

Cono Sur Pinot Noir $12.99
A fresh, voluptuous Pinot with rich notes of cherry, blackberries and plum together with a balanced, ripe palate. This is the perfect wine for grilled chicken or red meat dishes.

Cono Sur Carmenère $12.49
A velvety Carmenère with strawberry, raspberry, mocha and liquorice aromas together with a structured, fruity palate. This is the perfect wine to serve with almost all meats, but particularly beef stews or lentil and meat soups.

Conde Villar Alvarinho $12.49
It’s balanced complex and fresh profile reflects an exceptional terroir for good development of this variety. The Conde Villar Alvarinho is a product of nature. To taste and to drink this wine is a prize to the land, to the vineyard and to man.

Vinaceous Raconteur Cabernet Sauvignon $16.49
This wine delivers plenty of authoritative Cabernet flavor and structure at a reasonable tariff. Dark fruit flavors are accented by copious notes of vanilla, cedar and mint, and while the fruit is fully ripe, it remains firm throughout.

Vinaceous Red Right Hand $15.99
78% Shiraz, 17% Grenache and 5% Tempranillo. This wine displays a very deep purple-black color and is intensely scented of warm cherries and black raspberries with nuances of taste, tea, tobacco and Chinese five spices. Full-bodied and richly fruity in the mouth, it is well supported with crisp acidity and chewy tannins, finishing long.

Vinaceous Voodoo Moon $16.49
Deep purple and brooding in color, this intense wine has lifted perfumed dark fruit and a luscious full bodied palate of immense barriques for 14 months fives structure and soft integrated tannins that lend great length and persistence of flavor.

We will be joined by the Ladies of the Vine. Each lady will be pouring 6 wines, 18 in total you can choose from.
